The mission of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League is to assist each woman of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.
LWML Mission Statement
The Lutheran Women's Missionary League www.lwml.org of St. Paul's Lutheran Church is Mission focused. Our mission projects vary in supporting local needs, our community, our seminaries, and global missions.
We welcome all women of the congregation. Our gathering/events are held quarterly on the third Tuesday of March, June, September, and December. These gatherings include a variety of programs.
A Mission Work Group meets in the afternoon once a month during the summer and twice a month beginning in September. They make bandages, bibs, quilts, and other items for missions.
The first Sunday of each month is "Mite Box Sunday." Mite Box mission donations are gathered during each of that Sunday’s worship services. These donations are sent directly to the Minnesota South LWML District Office where 75% is used for mission programs selected by the MN South District LWML and the other 25% is forwarded to the national LWML for support of the mission projects selected by delegates at the national LWML convention.
"The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is the official women's auxiliary of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Minnesota South District LWML, with a membership of over 7,700 women in more than 240 churches across southern Minnesota, is one of 40 districts that comprise this international organization. The LWML focuses on affirming each woman in her relationship with Christ to enable her to be in ministry among the people of the world. For more than 60 years, the organization has been encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to financially support global mission projects."
